Booking & Cancellations
It is important when you book to turn up on the day, if you do not cancel booking two days before arrival you are liable for one night room rate.
Dear guest, imagine if you arrive at the hostel in spite of your booking we have no rooms for you. I am sure you will be angry, furious, and disgusted, and you are right. So please think and consider our situation when you book a room and do not advise us of cancellation and you do not turn up on the day. That is how we feel and of course we lose money and we have to increase our prices to make up for the losses, and this is not good for those who honor their booking.
To confirm your booking we need following:
coming by air?
1-name of airline
2-flight number
3-arrival time and date so we can ensure your room is booked for the correct night and we meet you at the airport
4-We also need a recent photo of one person.
coming by road from Jordan, Lebanon or Turkey, please provide your mobile telephone number and please send us SMS 7 days prior to arrival +963 933 871 588 to reconfirm the booking, otherwise please email us.
If your booking is far ahead of the arrival date we must receive reconfirmation SMS or email 7 days before arrival.
Booking and inquiries accepted only by email. When making a booking/inquiries kindly ensure that all correspondences are sent from the same email to avoid confusion.
If you are coming to the Hostel by your self do not get confused with Damascus International Hotel or Old Damascus Hotel in the Old City. This happens often where we have to go to these hotels to collect our guests after being dropped off by mistake by a taxi driver. Insist that taxi driver follows your instructions as per map on website. Please understand you pay when you arrive at the hostel. You pay cash dollars, Euros or GBP for the number of nights you booked. We also accept Paypal.
Confirmation of booking letter to Embassy for visa application.
If you require this document it costs euros 20. This amount must be paid before emailing the letter.This amount will be refunded to you when you check in at Damascus Hostel. you can pay to paypal@damascushostel.com
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of booking must be sent by email and or text message to +963 933 871 588
* Cancellation of booking eight days before arrival date, no penalty
* Cancellation of booking less than eight days before arrival date, one night room rate applies.
