How to find us
1 – enter from Bab Sharqi, (one way traffic, taxi cannot enter) and walk 200m then you arrive to the new BEIT ZAMAN HOTEL. Turn left into our street Alabbara (opposit hotel BEIT ZAMAN HOTEL) and walk past Oriental Hotel till you come to a Virgin Mary T junction
Please follow the flourescent yellow dots(tennis ball size)painted on the wall along the Al Abbara street all the way to the hostel door

How to find the hostel
at the end of the lane way. You will see a water tap. Turn left for another 40m till you arrive at our door. The hostel has a lit cross on the roof and a flag on next to the front door and a lemon tree.
2 – enter from Bab Touma (taxi one way only) or walk 300m till you come to Beit Zaman Hotel on Straight Street then turn left towards Bab Sharqi then turn right into our laneway Alabarra and follow details as above.
3 – If you are the sporty type, climb (a rope ladder) the Old City wall from the Airport road .You ask the driver to drive to the Roman arch of Bab Sharqi(The big gate to the walled city) then continue on the road to the airport along the old city wall for 200 metters after Bab .
Follow the yellow flourescent tennis ball size painted on the black metal railing all the way to rope ladder over the wall. . Ring the bell hanging over the wall next to ladder someone will drop electric hoist to lift your baggage and assist you climb rope ladder . Then enter our courtyard from the balcony on the Old City Wall ( you cant miss the white house), Hostel is over the wall with the tower with flags and lights between Bab Sharqi and Bab Kissan, (St Paul’s Gate,St Pauls Window )). We also have next to rope ladder a fireman’s pole for you to slide down,when we have traffic jam kind of.
Taxi to Damascus Hostel?
1-When travelling from Lebanon.
Go to Charles Helo square in Beirut for the taxi terminal. You will be asked if you want to go to Dimashq or Cham which mean Damascus. The journey takes 3 hours including border crossing and cost around USD 18. The taxi will arrive at Soumariya Terminal, 25 km away from the city of Damascus. From there take a yellow taxi to the old walled city which costs around 200 SP.
2- From Al-kadam train station
Take a yellow taxi to the Old City (Bab Sharqi, Bab Touma) which should cost around 100 SP.
3- From Aleppo, Hama, Homs, Palmyra, Tartus or Turkey
Your bus will stop at Harasta Pullman Garage. Take yellow taxi to the Old City, cost around 100 SP or take minibus to Bab Sharqi, cost 10 SP
4-From Jordan
The taxi terminal is at Soumaria, but usually you get dropped off at Naher Aishe (closer to Damascus), the yellow taxi costs 100 SP.
